Pur­ple House Cancer Sup­port Cen­tre has de­vel­oped a Covid-19 sup­port team to sup­port cancer pa­tients dur­ing Covid-19.

To en­sure that pa­tients and fam­i­lies are sup­ported, the or­gan­i­sa­tion has moved all ser­vices to non-con­tact.

These ser­vices in­clude tele­phone coun­selling by a team of IACP ac­cred­ited coun­sel­lors and psy­chother­a­pists and hos­pi­tal trans­port for chemo­ther­apy and ra­dio­ther­apy.

The cen­tre will also be pro­vid­ing food ham­pers for pa­tients who are iso­lat­ing.

The tele­phone sup­port line 01 2866966 has been di­verted re­motely to en­sure fam­i­lies liv­ing with cancer are sup­ported.

Groups and classes will be held re­motely, thanks to software like Zoom, whereby pa­tients can par­tic­i­pate from the com­fort of their own homes. To avail of any of the Pur­ple House ser­vices, call 01 2866966, email info@pur­ple­house.ie or go to Pur­ple­house.ie.
