Owner O’Hea PR

Many of our clients were busy as normal in 2020, including Renault and Dacia. They had to contend with dealerships being closed twice, but they innovated with their virtual showroom and Click & Deliver service, and new car launches also went virtual.

Our hospitality clients suffered the most with county restrictions and lockdowns, and when they could reopen they had to be more innovative and creative, as all other hotels and restaurants were vying for customers. Travel clients like Travel Department, a foreign holiday specialist, innovated by offering Ireland-based holiday breaks and walking holidays. They will continue to offer the home holiday option, even when people begin to travel again.

You miss that interaction with colleagues but you become accustomed to online communication fast. I think we’ve all realised we actually miss time spent in the office. In the postpandemic world, I believe that consultancies will become more flexible and offer a hybrid model to staff and clients.

Clients are pushing forward with plans for launches and virtual events. Clients have to continue to connect and communicate with their customers now more than ever, and they know that PR continues to be a vital part of the marketing mix.
