Audi Unveils Electric Supercar

-

If the Audi e-tron SUV was the warm-up act, the new e-tron GT could be looked upon as the star turn. This electric car produces 476 PS power with 640Nm torque, with a claimed travel range of 479km (WLTP) on a single charge. Utilising the Audi Quattro’s four-wheel drive, the e-tron GT feels glued to the road and thrusts from 0-100km in 4.1 seconds.

The car drives with comparable smoothness to an A8 limo, without the internal combustion engine sound. A reflection on just how quickly the BEV sector is advancing – the e-tron SUV uses a 150kW motor while the GT expands this to a 270kW unit. Built in the same factory as the R8 Supercar, the GT’s most impressive attribute is how normal the car feels to drive.
