MG’s Electric Runaround

Britain’s iconic MG motoring brand is now under Chinese ownership, and SIAC Motor has developed a number of PHEV and BEV models. The Exclusive ZS EV (€32,985) is a fully electric small crossover two-wheel drive with a claimed 263km range, and the 44.5kWh lithiumion battery is guaranteed for seven years.

The MG ZS is a roomy motor, with a decent-sized boot at 448 litres, and standard equipment spans aircon, satnav, keyless entry, smartphone mirroring, rear parking camera and a rotary auto controller.

For getting around the city, the ZS is light to drive with all controls demanding minimal effort. Overall, there’s good space and practicality, and prices start at €29,845 for the base Excite version.
