Cpl Finds Silver Lining In Lockdown Restrictions
Cpl, Ireland’s largest recruitment agency, has over 70 employees across its various brands in Cork, and is currently hiring experienced recruiters at all levels in the organisation. Cpl is now a subsidiary of Outsourcing Inc, and director Lisa Broderick says the Japanese parent values the Cpl culture and operational style. “This move involves small adjustments like falling in line with Outsourcing’s year-end,” Broderick adds. “The bigger picture is global access, collaboration with more than 100 sister companies in 30 plus countries, international opportunity and ultimately growth.” Prior to the pandemic, Broderick says she had a path worn to Dublin. “With lockdown, I found myself involved in group projects and managing people outside Cork from home, which wouldn’t have been the norm before. Coming out the other end of the pandemic, our collaboration internally and externally has reached new heights. Cpl can offer more flexibility to our employees now and a better experience to our customers. Even challenging times have silver linings.” The recruitment agency is currently catering for strong demand for talent across almost every sector. “The main challenge is ensuring our talent pipeline remains strong and mobility is enabled. Technology is particularly buoyant with international players like Cadence choosing Cork as a European R&D centre of excellence,” Broderick explains. She adds that customers want to work with recruiters who can offer tailored solutions in the form of sophisticated systems, innovative training, global presence, or provide solutions to various talent challenges. “SMEs want to work with recruiters they can trust because every hire makes a massive impact to their business. Across the board I would say a more consultative and innovative approach is expected. “We can attract top talent here and offer great opportunity as our city and our business communities continue to grow, so our future remains bright!”
