Peloton Interactive’s turnover in the quarter to 30 September, up 6% YOY. Revenue was made up of $500m in product sales and $300m in subscriptions for streaming services connected to the exercise bikes. Gross profit was $260m.
Pre-tax loss in the quarter, compared to a profit of $71m a year earlier, driven by a 330% annual increase in overheads and marketing outlays to $520m.
Connected Fitness subscriptions at the end of the quarter, up 87% year-on-year. Subscribers undertake an average of 16.6 workouts per month, down 20% on a year ago.
