Medical device cybersecur­ity company Nova Leah has closed an investment round led by Northwell Health, New York’s largest health-care provider, with additional funding from existing investors Kernel Capital and Sure Valley Ventures.

Dermatolog­y clinic chain DermView has concluded a €1.9m seed funding round devoted to introducin­g its skinimagin­g services into the NHS in the UK this year, with plans to operate in Northern Ireland, as well as opening two 4,000square-foot facilities in Dublin.

Cork-based insurance technology platform nSurely has raised €535,000 to fund pilot projects in several European countries this year. The company operates in the usage-based insurance (UBI) space, where vehicle data is gathered via telematics, letting insurers calculate driver risk in real time.

Medical technology startup MedoSync has raised €1.2m from backers including

Enterprise Ireland and investors Jim Hannon, Michael Harding, Enrique Curran and JP Sisk. The company’s technology platform enables secure, real-time medical billing.
