Emmet Creighton is a founder and CEO of Lintil, a recent prop-tech startup that aims to make the home-buying process easier.

The pandemic hit us particularly hard. We were a very young company, and we had to find a way to survive until the property market opened again. However, it turned out to be a paradigm shift in how our customers viewed the way property is bought. Due to the pandemic, users now expect the service we provide to be delivered online, and our panel of providers have had to shift their business practices to ensure that they can keep working with customers remotely.

I’m very optimistic for 2022. Lintil has a lot of deals in the pipeline, which will see our business grow, and we are eager to get started. I think the outlook for business is generally positive. The pandemic has lasted longer than anyone anticipated, and now customers and businesses are finding ways to adjust to keep moving forward, as opposed to just taking a ‘wait and see what happens’ approach. Small businesses are finding new ways of doing business to survive, and large firms are cutting through the bureaucracy to adapt to this new way of life. Both can be seen as real positives.

Our business model is lead and business generation for our panel of providers. Our leads are sales qualified and perfectly timed for businesses whose customers include people buying property. While 2021 has been something of a closed shop for our panel, in 2022 we plan to add to our panel of suppliers so they can benefit from the high-quality leads we generate.
