ANDREW LAMBE
Andrew Lambe is co-owner and commercial director of Company Bureau Formations, which specialises in company formation, and company secretarial and compliance services. It will be celebrating 25 years in business in 2022.
L ike many who have had some time to reflect due to the pandemic, I’ve changed my outlook and priorities somewhat, and try to give more time to my family and to my local community. I’ve recently started coaching my local U-10s soccer team, which I find challenging and rewarding in equal measure! My brother is getting married in Sydney in April, so I hope to attend — all going to plan!
Trade is back to a reasonable level of normality, business wise. We have had to further digitise how we do business and minimise our reliance on physical documents, files and office attendance. A key part of this was moving our server and data into the cloud this year. The Companies Registration Office (CRO) is now accepting scannedcopy signatures, which makes the process of registering companies and filing company documents quicker and easier.
Whilst the incorporation of limited companies is our bread-andbutter business, Company Bureau also offers a wide range of company secretarial, compliance and business support services. I would predict economic growth of around 4% in 2022, as there is a lot of pent-up consumer demand out there, especially for the experience economy. However, I also think that business expansion will be held back by labour movement and shortages.
