A Team Thriving On Trust

Having spent a quarter of a century at the vanguard of technology’s rapid and relentless march, Spencer Davies is more qualified than most when it comes to identifying impactful innovations.

Since graduating with a degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the tail end of the 1990s, he has charted the evolution of the data centre sector from close quarters and fought fruitfully to further the success of a succession of “best of breed” management and monitoring solutions.

Consequently, it is no surprise that the latest role of someone with a penchant for picking premium products is allied with automation specialist RiT Tech – the designer and developer of the cuttingedge Universal Intelligent Infrastructure Management (UIIM) system, XpedITe.

Unlike some previous posts, however, Spencer is not expecting his recent appointment as the Israel-based company’s UK and European sales manager to be a tough battle.

“XpedITe is not so much a best of breed but the best there has been,” explained the experienced sales strategist. “People have long seen the value of data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) solutions, but RiT Tech’s is far superior to what has gone before.

“It not only gives multiple stakeholders a single ‘pane of glass’ to look through but keeps everybody in the data centre chain connected and does so using real-time data. It’s impossible to effectively manage if you don’t accurately monitor and XpedITe sees, and tracks, it all.

“There’s a true benefit and return on investment that comes with adopting such a solution; from ensuring efficiencies and sustaining service levels to providing the capability to action and plan at the touch of a button.”

Delighted to be flying the flag for the market-leader, Spencer concluded: “When it comes to excelling in sales, believing in the solution is paramount and I have absolute confidence in XpedITe’s worth to the data centre industry.”

RiT Tech CEO Assaf Skolnik said the sense of confidence was reciprocated and that Spencer’s appointment would be pivotal to the company’s plans to become a dominant global provider.

“He brings credible technical expertise and extensive sales success within the DCIM and computer software industries to our business,” he added. “RiT is expanding its international reach into new regions and Spencer will help us to build on our ever-growing base of highprofile clients in the UK and Europe.”

Both Assaf and Spencer will be attending Data Centre World at ExCeL London on March 2nd-3rd.
