SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT

IPB published its sustainability plan in 2021 and produced its sustainability strategy document earlier this year. The company formally signed up to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The principles are part of a global framework for insurance companies to help address Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks and leverage opportunities. At the heart of IPB’s ESG activities is a strong focus on key stakeholders, including Members, employees and Irish society. Further underpinning the commitment to good governance, the Board of IPB recently established a Board Committee dedicated to Sustainability that will further enhance transparency and demonstrate responsibility and ownership at the highest level within the organisation.
