ECO DREAM DAY 2022
In an exciting new volunteering initiative, we worked with Cork-based charity Cope Foundation on a project that benefits the community as well as the environment. Cope Foundation supports over 2,800 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Together with Cope service users, we worked in their allotment-style garden in Ballincollig, a vital space to learn, socialise and connect with nature. After two years of Covid-19 lockdowns the site had become overgrown and Cope needed our help — digging and weeding raised beds, planting bee- and pollinator-friendly plants, painting fences with eco-friendly paint and planting sensory plants and herbs along the walkways.
