Barrs stay on track

-

DOWDALLSHILL proved no match for Naomh Fionnbarra as the Togher side made it four wins from four matches with a dominant display.

The ' Barrs were quickly out of the blocks and were soon ahead thanks to points from Oisin McGee, David Woods and Andy McCann. Dowdallshill were struggling to get a foothold in the game failing to trouble the scoreboard in the opening half. A Jack Butterly point just before half time meant that the home side went in at the break 0-7 to 0-0 ahead.

The second half continued in much the same vein with the 'Barrs continuing to attack. The opening goal of the game came from the boot of Jack Butterly midway through the second half.

That was soon followed by a second goal from midfielder John Doyle which put the icing on top of a convincing victory for the home side, as Gerry McShane scored a goal from a penalty in reply for Dowdallshill.
