BINGO continues every Monday night in the community centre at 8.30.

In associatio­n with Kingbet we are holding a Cheltenham preview night on the 7th of March in McHughs, the panel of experts include Donn McClean, Tony Keenan, David Casey and Jack Kennedy, the night will begin at 8pm sharp (you don’t want to miss a winner!). Tickets are available from Kingbet, McHughs or committee members and cost €15. Everyone attending will receive a Free e5 KingBet along with hot food from Mary’s Market Cafe.

Also in March , we are holding a dinner dance in the Westcourt Hotel on the 11th. Details on how to get your hands on tickets coming soon..

Membership is now due for 2017, contact any committee member for player, non player and juvenile rates. PADDY Sheelan Cup round 1: Glen Emmets were due to take on St Patrick’s on Sunday morning last, but the fixture had to be cancelled and will be reschedule­d. We take on Dreadnots next Sunday at 11am in Clogherhea­d - all support welcome.

Registrati­on dates for 2017 are this Friday from 7 to 8.30pm and Sunday March 5th from 10am to noon. The club shop will be open and refreshmen­ts will be served.

The Glen Emmets Dixon Cup Winners Presentati­on Dinner Dance is on Saturday February 25th at 8pm in the Glenside Hotel. All club members, supporters and the wider community are more than welcome to attend. Tickets are €30 and are available from Robert Murray on 087-1706447.

The 2017 Glen Emmets Nursery/ U-7/U-8/U-9 practice for girls and boys continues for two more Sundays in Drogheda Leisure Park at 11am. All are welcome, including any newcomers. Please spread the word to classmates etc. Bring your water and mouthguard.

After the success of last year’s Glen Emmets 5k Fun Run, we are doing it again! The date for your diary is Sunday April 2nd at 2pm. It is an AAI permitted course and all entrants will be chip-timed. The run starts on the Townley Hall road and finishes at Glen Emmets’ clubhouse where refreshmen­ts will be served.

Numbers drawn in last Tuesday’s loto draw for a €10,000 jackpot were 5, 7, 8, 31, and in th draw for the €2,000 jackpot the numbers were 13, 28, 31,32. The lucky dip winners of €25 were Kathyrn Floody, Mick O’Neill, Janet Morgan and Fr Dooley and this Tuesday’s jackpots stand at €10,000 and €2,100. HARD luck to our senior men’s team who lost against Dundalk Gaels in Pairc Baile Fiach on Sunday. The final score was 3-3 to 3-8.

Bingo takes place on Friday nights at 8pm in Ardee Parish Centre. There are some great cash prizes to be won including the winner takes all flyer and the jackpot.

The lotto draw takes place every Sunday night in the Hunterstow­n Inn. Tickets can be bought from any committee member, the Hunterstow­n Inn or at the bingo.
