- Conlon is living the dream
in an Ulster final.
Well, James now has plenty to boast about and when he lines out with St Colmcille’s in the All-Ireland Club Intermediate Final against Westport on Sunday he will be a few months short of his 19th birthday, and younger by a couple of weeks than when his dad played at Headquarters.
James, who is studying aviation technology at DIT, has been in outstanding form throughout the campaign and even at this stage of his young career is a crucial part of the team.
‘It is every lad’s dream to play in Croke Park,’ James said. ‘It is so exciting, and to be doing it with your best friends is brilliant. A couple of years back I was water boy for the team.’
