Dangerous structure notice is served on two Narrow West Street properties

-

A DANGEROUS Structure Notice has been served on the owners of two properties on Narrow West Street.

Signed by Frank Pentony of the Planning Enforcement section of Louth County Council, the notices were pinned to the buildings on Friday last.

No.43 and 44 have now been declared as ‘dangerous structures’ and under the planning act, the owners, who are based in Kilsaran, must now engage a structural engineer to carry out a report on the buildings.

They must also secure and support the roof as well as walls, the notice explains.

They have 14 days to send details to the council and a programme of works must be made out within three months.

Failure to comply with the notice risks a fine from the council.

The buildings were sold some years ago .
