Duncan Stewart to visit Sonairte

-

A healthy family day will take place on Sunday 2nd April starting at 11am in Sonairte, between Laytown and Julianstown.

There are a number of fantastic events scheduled to take place throughout the day. The headline event of course is a talk by Duncan Stewart the award winning architect and TV producer of Eco Eye. This a free public talk, on Climate Change and the big environmental issues affecting our Planet today. Duncan’s talk will take place at 2 .30 am in the Long room at Sonairte. This will be a very popular event , so make sure you get there early to ensure a seat.

There will also be a talk by Paul O’Reilly, on how a healthy home makes a happy planet. Paul is an award-winning entrepreneur, speaker and energy consultant. He has written many articles on energy conservation, sustainability and renewable energy generation and recently published a book “The Smart Energy Citizen’s Guide to Save Energy…”.

This is an all day, healthy home happy planet event, so throughout the day there are many fantastic things to see and nature, river and woodland walks.

For instance there will be a practical example of bee keeping in Sonairte’s unique BEE MUSEUM by bee expert Pat Wogan. There will also be some fabulous honey for sale on the day. For the bird watchers there will be plenty to see and plenty of expert advice on hand from the vantage points of the river “look outs’ on the Nanny estuary.

For those a little more adventurous the will be a foraging expedition. This will be suitable for young and old alike but booking is essential for this as a small cost will apply.
