Worst pothole ever - in council car park!

-

ANGRY motorists have been left counting the cost after a number ended up sinking into a giant pothole that has appeared in the old Fire Station car park on Scarlet Street.

The massive hole appeared two weeks ago and measures over 12 inches in depth in places.

Numerous vehicles have landed in the hole, amidst growing concern over possible damage to vehicles.

The trench-like hole is believed to have surfaced following recent works in the car park, which is soon to be turned into a housing development.

But until then, drivers will be hoping the council carry out repairs - before the bills for repairs really begins to mount.
