Chance to attend course with BAFTA award winner Ferdia MacAnna

Aspiring TV and screenplay writers are invited to attend a 6 week workshop with BAFTA award winner Ferdia MacAnna.

This 6 week workshop will focus on modules such as screenwrit­ing, character creation, comedy writing and writing effective TV drama.

“The workshop is aimed at beginners as well as writers with experience in TV, film and drama” said Declan Power, The Barbican Manager.

The Bio of Ferdia MacAnna is impressive: a novelist, screenwrit­er and TV producer/ director.

He has produced and directed many TV programmes including Don’t Feed the Gondolas, Upwardly Mobile and the BAFTA-winning Custer’s Last Stand Up.

He has taught screenwrit­ing, creative writing and scripting at various colleges including TCD and DCU.

He has also thought innovation and enterprise to students in the Barbican Centre last year and this year as part of a UCD post grad course and therefore not a stranger to Drogheda.

The 6 week workshop commences on Wednesday April 26th from 5:15pm to 7:15pm.

The cost of takign part is €120 with a concession of 20% to the unwaged.
