Eddie Carey in McHugh’s concert

One of Ireland’s emerging country music stars, Eddie Carey, returns to McHugh’s Country Music and Cabaret Club on Thursday April 13th, after making a big impression on his first visit. Newcastle West born Eddie is rapidly becoming known as the new voice of Irish country music. Still just 26 years of age, Eddie has the style, charm and charisma to make it big on the country scene but it is his voice that is the stand-out factor.

He has had great success with his first two singles ‘Murphy’s Bar’ and ‘ The Longest Time’ and his debut album ‘ This is Eddie Carey’ which was launched on his last visit to McHugh’s is selling well. He won over the audience on his last visit with a great dance programme and after he finished the show he took his guitar down to a group of 20 who were on a celebration evening and played two songs for them, while sitting with the group.

Doors open at 9 pm and as usual Smiley’s Country Roadshow will supply the music ubtil the band takes the stage at 10 pm.
