32 members of the society made the trip to Royal Tara golf club on Saturday and even through the conditions underfoot were wet it didn’t affect Brendan Mc’Connell who took home the overall prize. Section 1 winner was Trevor Birch, section 2 Declan Mooney, Front 9 Donal Grimes, back 9 Eamon Young, Longest drive Trevor Birch, nearest the pin Trevor Dardis. On Friday evening 16 members made the trip to Ratoath to support the two acts that were representing their club in the competition ‘Foroiges Got Talent’. In the first part of the show Katie Coen sang ‘Hey Big Spender’ a song by Shirley Bassey and in the second half Emma Duff sang a song from Adele called ‘Rolling in the Deep’ .

With 16 acts of different variety taking part in the show and the standard being very high, the club were delighted when it was announced that Emma Duff had been awarded third place. Both girls can be immensely proud of their performances and Syddan foroige would like to thank Emma and Katie for representing their club in this competition and to all their members who made the trip.
