Five-star Meath sink lowly Laois

MEATH qualified to play Dublin in the under 16A Leinster Final following a comprehensive victory over Laois in Annanough last Sunday.

The eventual winners started well with points from Meabh Byrne, Orlagh Lally and Emma Duggan and they went on to lead 1-8 to 0-4 at half-time. Emma Duggan was on target with the goal.

Meath maintained their momentum in the second half with goals from Leah Devine and Emma Duggan to open up an unassailable lead. Further points from Orlagh Lally, Aisling McCabe and Lucy Butler sealed an impressive victory for the Meath girls.
