NEWTOWN Blues find themselves in an unfamiliar position at the foot of the Division 1 table after losing for a third successive game.

Dreadnots bounced back from a narrow defeat to Pats as they struck four goals in an impressive second half display to register their first win.

After losing their opening two games, the Blues were competitiv­e in the first half and very much in contention at the break. However, they were simply blown away in the second period.

The first half exchanges did little to indicate what was to come as the teams traded points throughout and at the interval the Clogherhea­d men were only 0-5 to 0-4 ahead.
