Roche romp to victory over Lannleire

ROCHE EMMETS LANNLEIRE 3-13 0-6

-

LANNLEIRE suffered their first league defeat of the season after being beaten by a strong Roche Emmets side at Dunleer on Friday night.

Already minus a couple of regulars, Lannleire were further afflicted by the loss through injury inside the opening quarter, of defender, Thomas Doyle and forward, Alan Murphy.

Roche Emmets led 1-4 to 0-2 after 15 minutes, the goal scored by full forward, Barry O’ Hare on ten minutes.

The more experienced Roche side went on to dominate the first half and went in to the break leading 1-8 to 0-4.

The opening quarter of the second half was well contested but a second O’Hare goal on 46 minutes put the result beyond doubt, with all the scoring in the final quarter done by the Roche forwards, including a third goal from sub Emmet Hughes.
