THREE YOUTHS CHARGED
Over €5,000 worth of computers were stolen from St Oliver’s CC
THREE teenagers have appeared before Drogheda District Court charged in connection with the theft of a large number of computers worth more than €5,000 from St Oliver’s Community College (pictured) last May.
The trio, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of trespass and the theft of 27 Black Chromebooks valued at €200 each from the secondary school on May 27th last year.
One of those involved is in custody in relation to a different matter, the court heard, and was remanded on continuing bail to appear on June 27th for the preparation of a Probation Report.
The second teen involved, a 15-year-old, had his case adjourned to June 27th with a number of bail conditions imposed.
John Coughlan instructed that the teenager sign on daily between 9am and 5pm at Drogheda Garda Station, observe a curfew between 7pm and 9am, have no contact with his two co-accused, remain sober and be available at all times for contact on his mobile phone by gardaí. Similar bail conditions were also imposed on the third co-accused.
‘If you break any of the conditions you’re going away. Black and white, I don’t want any whining off you,’ Judge Coughlan told the pair.
