The club very much appreciate­s the continued support for this vital annual fundraiser that goes towards the weekly running costs of the club so thanks all who contribute­d over the years and all the promoters.

The seniors play this Saturday evening at home against Naomh Mairtin at 7.00pm.

The U16s beat Naomh Mairtin in Monasterbo­ice 4-11 to 0-6.

The juniors lost to Mattock Rangers 2-18 to 0-7. The scorers were Dylan Lynch 0-3, Conal McEneaney 0-2, Tadgh Litchfield, James Bellew 0-1 each. The U14s had a good win over Roche Emmets 5-10 to 5-5.

Well done to Niall Quigley and Fionn Cumiskey who represente­d the U14 Louth hurlers against Kildare recently. TRAINING continues this Friday in the Brides field for all U.6 up to U.12 from 5.30 p.m. New members very welcome to come along on the evening.

Last Tuesday our U10 hurlers took part in the latest blitz held in the Fairgreen. Our first game saw us beat neighbours Blackrock on a 4-4 to 1-1 scoreline while our second game was won against Naomh Moninne by 2-0 to 0-3. Meanwhile last Thursday we hosted Pearse Og and Blackrock in an U8 blitz. All present were very impressed by the determinat­ion and skills of all players involved , many of whom were playing their first ever hurling game.

This Tuesday our U12 hurlers are at home to a Mattock/Kevins/ Glen Emmets combinatio­n while our U.13’s face the same opposition this coming Thursday.

Finally next Sunday sees the first adult final of the year when our junior hurlers square up to Naomh Moninne in the Junior championsh­ip final. There is never much between these teams so hopefully we can bag the first piece of silverware of the year. CONGRATULA­TIONS and very well done to Brendan Healy and the students of St Marys Diocesan school who played magnificen­t handball to reach the finals of the Leinster one-wall blitz tournament held at DCU last Thursday. On the way to the final St Marys defeated, Kilkenny, Dublin, to set up a final against St Finians Westmeath unfortunat­ely after a great final St Marys were just defeated 15-14, 15-13. All players put in superb performanc­es on the day well done lads.

Don’t forget our club clothing fundraisin­g appeal is going very well if you have any unwanted clothes, shoes, handbags, belts, shirts etc. Please contact any committee member or you can bring along to Coke Hall reception.

Our training for the 60x30 Softball championsh­ips will continue every Monday and Thursday at 7pm in Kingscourt handball club until further notice. Club players wishing to purchase new 60x30 handballs can contact our club secretary the cost is €8 per ball.

Club players wishing to enter the 60x30 Leinster singles and doubles championsh­ips should give their names and grades to club secretary J Kelly asap please. The championsh­ips will start in June.

Our club coaches have been invited by St Marys girls school Ballsgrove to conduct a handball introducti­on coaching course day at their school as part of their Active School Week in June more informatio­n on this event will be posted shortly.

There will be a committee meeting next Friday night at 7.45pm in Coke hall all delegates are requested to attend.

There are some great upcoming competitio­ns for club players to enter the Inis Mor Wall- Ball takes place on 12th/14th May, and the Mallow Wall-Ball takes place on27th/28th May for more
