Emily on a high after win

-

TOGHER native Emily Rogers did her club St Peter’s AC proud when leaping to high jump victory in Saturday’s annual Ton Le Gaoithe track and field meeting in Waterford.

The inclement conditions on the day were not ideal for jumping, but Rogers has just finished an intense block of training and she cleared 1.75m which in the conditions was really impressive.

St Peter’s younger athletes returned to training after their fantastic performances in the Louth Championships and are now preparing for the upcoming Leinster Championships.

Congratulations also go to the St Peter’s NS 5-a-side soccer team who became Leinster champions last week and now go forward to the National Finals. St Peters AC have two athletes on the five-a-side panel.
