DULEEK WOMEN’S FORUM

Thank you to all who supported the recent coffee morning in aid of Drogheda Alzheimer’s Society. A grand total of €671 was raised with the main raffle winners: First Suzanne Flaherty, second Diane Murphy, third Betty Connor.

MOTOR NEURONE GALA BALL

Following on from the great success of last year’s summer Gala Ball we have decided to organise another Ball. The date for this year’s summer Gala Ball is Friday, June 23, in the renowned Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells, Co. Meath. The evening commences with a Prosecco reception at 7.30 p.m. followed by dinner. We are thrilled to have Miriam O’Callaghan as our MC for the night and are delighted to welcome back the very talented Ronan Collins and his band to provide the music. There will be a raffle and auction on the night, lots of spot prizes. We invite everybody to come along have a fabulous evening in beautiful surroundin­gs and support a fantastic organisati­on. This is an ideal opportunit­y to use the event for a family celebratio­n, company or club reward, or just a group of friends having an evening out while supporting IMNDA. DULEEK LIBRARY

Bealtaine Music Appreciati­on Club will be holding a presentati­on on Friday, May 26, at 11 a.m. in Duleek Library. The presentati­on will cover popular Irish music, classical music and hits from the musicals. Tea and coffee will be provided on the day. All are welcome, please leave your name with Duleek Library if interested in attending.

Duleek/Bellewstow­n Active Retirement are having a meal for members on Thursday, May 25, at 6.30 p.m. at Glenside Hotel.

DULEEK REVIVAL PROGRAMME

Duleek Revival Programme are opening a pop up shop for two days selling Hanging Baskets and Bedding Plants to raise money for the group. The shop will open next Thursday and Friday, May 18 and 19, at 9.30 a.m. at the Mauldins on Main Street Duleek. We are hoping to enter Tidy Towns this year. Please support us to help us make Duleek beautiful.

DULEEK COMMUNITY GAMES

Duleek Community Games Athletic Finals will be held in the GAA Pitch Navan Road on Monday next, May 15, at 6 p.m. Events for tiny tots up to under 16 years. Two children from each competitio­n will qualify for the Meath County Finals in Cushinstow­n on Sunday, June 11, commencing at 9.30. As Community Games are celebratin­g 50th Anniversar­y of their foundation there will be special celebratio­ns in Cushinstow­n on that day. CEILI

There will be a ceili taking place on Saturday, May 20, at 8.30 p.m. in the parish centre with the Tara Ceili Band. Admission is €7 including supper. It promises to be a great evening of dancing for all those who attend.

DULEEK XTREME STYLE ACADEMY

Duleek Xtreme Style Academy have been asked to take part in a dance competitio­n in Paris in October. There is a dance troop of 36 children going from Duleek to represent Ireland, which is a great honour. In order to fund the trip there will be a number of fundraisin­g activities taking place, the first of which will be a bake sale in the courthouse on Sunday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Holy Communion for the boys and girls from Duleek National Schools will take place in St Cianan’s Church on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m.
