Annie’s bid to help local cancer service

- By HUBERT MURPHY

A DROGHEDA restaurant will kick off a campaign that they hope will help boost the finances of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre.

From next Monday, May 22, Annie’s on Meatmarket Lane will be donating 10% off all meals purchased to the local centre that does so much for thousands of people each year.

Robbie Donegan from Annie’s says that a special collection box will be placed at the till and customers will be handed the 10% and asked to drop it into the container.

Ann Tracey from the Gary Kelly Centre said the gesture from Annie’s was something new and hopes that other premises might do the same.

‘ The staff here have been terrific ‘, Ann stated. ‘It’s a great idea and will help us enormously.’ The promotion will run from May 22 to June 4th.
