Ms Corcoran and her life at James St Post Office

THERE has been much debate about closing local post offices, but reading a piece recently , a lady called Miss R Corcoran was some operator in such a service at the start of the last century,

She ran the James St PO for 38 years and has a ‘ thriving business’ as the ‘ town and country’ folk loved her.

Has her story ever been told. Any of that Corcoran clan around?
