Taking over the Royal!
65.1% of Meath’s population were born outside the county, the highest proportion in the country.
This would include Drogheda residents born in Louth who now have a Meath address if they live in one of the estates on the southside of town across the Meath borther. These include Grange Rath and Deepforde.
Because of the Louth/Meath divide on the southside of Drogheda, they may now be living in County Meath even if they have only moved a few miles from their original homeplace.
