25 new jobs are created at Aphix
THERE was good news on the jobs front in Drogheda last week as 25 new jobs have been announced at Aphix Software at The Mill.
The new jobs will come on stream over the next three years and are supported by the Department of Jobs and Innovation, through Enterprise Ireland.
Aphix Software is an award winning fintech softward company that provides digital ordering systems to wholesalers and retailers across Ireland and the UK.
The new jobs being created at the company include App & Web Development as well as roles in support, sales and marketing in the coming months.
It is understood that recruitment has already begun with all positions expected to be filled ober the next 12 to 36 months.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD, was in Drogheda last Friday to officially anounce the new psitions which will be located at Aphix Software’s officers in The Mill Enterprise Hub in Greenhills.
Commenting on the announcement, local Senator Ged Nash said he was privileged to be involved in the announcement of the new jobs and wished CEO Graham O’Rourke, CTO Mark Reilly and their talented team every success as the company scales up and goes global.
Fine Gael TD for Louth and East Meath, Fergus O’Dowd, has warmly welcomed the announcement that 25 new jobs will be provided through the award winning fintech software company. ‘ This is fantastic news for the people of Drogheda, these are high tech professional jobs and I want to personally thank CEO Graham O’Rourke and his team for planting significant roots in the town of Drogheda,’ he said. ‘ This is an extremely exciting time for the company who are looking at rapidly expanding in particular in the UK market. This again shows the confidence local entrepreneurs are showing in the face of upcoming Brexit challenges. I would also like to congratulate the Enterprise Mill and its staff on the continued support it is providing to growing businesses.This announcement shows that the need for a phase 3 of the Mill is essential.’
