-

If you would like to make a difference in a child’s life than the ISPCC Childline Service in the local area would like to hear from you.

The ISPCC is currently recruiting volunteers for its Childline service in Louth/Meath.

Volunteering opportunities are available to anyone who is interested in listening to children, who is over 18 and is willing to undergo Childline’s training course and commit to a regular volunteering session.

The ISPCC has two upcoming information evenings for people who are interested in finding out more about becoming a volunteer: Wednesday the 24th of May and Thursday 25th May at 6.30pm at the ISPCC’s office at Distillery House, Dyer Street, Drogheda.

This is an opportunity to come along and hear about the service, and what is involved in volunteering, from people who are already volunteers.

Anyone interested in attending one of the information evenings should contact Danielle Lambe on 041-9809964 or dlambe@ispcc. ie to book a place no later than Monday, May 22nd.

Childline calls, texts and online messages, from children all over Ireland are answered by a team of volunteers, who are trained to respond to children and to listen actively to what they have to say.

Childline receives over 400,000 contacts from children through its phone, text and online services and is available 24-hours a day, for any child who needs to talk.
