Man failed to appear

-

A MAN charged with drugs offences had a bench warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to appear before Drogheda District Court.

Paul Coddington (47), who is charged with cultivating cannabis plants without a licence and being in unlawful possession of drugs for sale or supply on December 7th, 2016 at his home address, was due to have his case heard last Friday.

When the case was called, Inspector Brendan Cadden informed Judge John Coughlan the defendant was representing himself for the hearing.

However, as the defendant was not in court, Judge Coughlan put the case back for a second calling.

When the case was called for a second time, the defendant, who has an address at Glenview in Mornington, still had not appeared and Judge Coughlan issued a warrant for his arrest.
