Leisure Centre to mark 10 years

-

DROGHEDA Leisure Park will be celebrating their 10th year in business with an extra special Open Day/Birthday Party on the 28th May.

Drogheda Leisure & Retail Park first opened its doors in May 2007 and over the years has evolved in accordance with public demand, although family favorites have remained, such as the four all-weather 5 –a – side Football Pitches, Kids adventure centre with ball pool and their 12 lane Cosmic bowling alley.

In more recent years, and under the leadership of General Manager, James Sharkey the team in the Park have added features such as Italian Bumper Cars, state of the art party rooms, and of course, the first of its kind, The Sensory Room (Now open for babies 6-18 months). Drogheda Leisure Park became the first leisure park in the country to provide such a service.

Remarking the time; James Sharkey said – “I have been working hard during my time at Drogheda Leisure Park to ensure we create a family brand and great family value offers, to date this has worked for us. Although having said that, parents who have children with special needs can take their children to a specialist unit or facility provided by the HSE, all be it, they have to be put on a waiting list.

‘What I want to achieve is that all children can attend my facility. Mam and Dad will no longer have to go in opposite directions to ensure their children have a chance of light entertainment – As our new Sensory Logo suggests, we will have it all under one roof ”.

Sunday’s celebrations will begin at 12pm and run through to 4pm, with amazing offers throughout the park, and an after party to continue in Nano Reid’s Bar & Restaurant with Music provided by the Delta Devils.

“We are delighted to be able to celebrate 10 years in business and we want to celebrate with all our loyal customers. Since we opened in 2007, we have held in and around 15,000 parties with in excess of 200,000 kids attending those parties – So we are clearly doing something right and here’s to the next 10 years,’ James added.
