Ruby Wax appears at the TLT
RUBY Wax brings her new one-woman show to the Drogheda stage on November 6 when she appears at the TLT.
Based on her number one best seller, “A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled’, she’s been honoured with the title of poster girl for mental illness; once crazy, now less so, she gives a tour of the mind – how to use it, not lose it.
Ruby Wax, if you don’t know is a much loved, U.S. born comedy-actor-writer of incredibly successful books and TV shows including script editor of “Absolutely Fabulous” and is a mental health campaigner.
By the way, she graduated from Oxford with a Masters in Mindfulness–based Cognitive Therapy (at a late stage) three years ago so she should know her stuff.

Fair weekend takes place in Duleek
Duleek Fair Weekend takes place on July 1st and 2nd, 2017, with free family fun and entertainment for people of all ages.

Vantastival time
ANDY Smith (ex. Portishead), The Eskies, Fish Go Deep and Blood and Fire Sound System feat. MC Brother Culture are among the acts just added to this year’s Vantastival line up. It takes place at Beaulieu House on June 3 and 4th.
Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan. Weekend tickets are on sale now at €85 + booking fee for two nights camping. Day tickets cost €40.

Drogheda Gardening Club in Wexford
The Drogheda Gardening Club will be running a five day trip to Wexford, staying at the Talbot Hotel on 5th of June and returning on Friday the 9th of June. The cost per person sharing is €285.00. A deposit of €50.00 per person must be paid on or before Friday the 7th of April with the balance to be paid by the 19th of May. This trip is open to members and new members wishing to join.

Barney V Michael
THE Barney Army meets the Green Machine at the TLT on September 27th for an eagerly awaited darts exhibition.
Champion of the world, Mighty Michael Van Gerwen takes on his Dutch compatriot Raymond Van Barneveld.
John McDonald from Sky Sports is the MC on the night and referee is George Noble.
The players will play a best of 13 set match and there will be a raffle and auction on the night with great prizes including memorabilia and a chance to play against MVG or RVB on the night!
Standard tickets are €30 and VIP tickets are priced at €70. Note that the VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the two players before the exhibition as well as a priority seat for the event. These tickets are very limited.
There is no age restriction on the show and the doors open at 7pm.
