THE special 20K Drop Fundraiser run by the club was a huge success and was a most enjoyable occasion for our supporters and members alike.

This was the first event of its kind run in the locality and organised by the club. The idea was to do something different to raise funds for the proposed new building.

This special effort was greatly appreciated as it was out of the norm and gave the members a focus for getting additional funds together.

We sincerely thank the major sponsors of the event and all those who advertised as a means of support. We will be maintaining a special website account for all those over the next twelve months and we recommend them to all our members and friends. We thank our own members also who their energy and support and especially Bláithín whose drive and energy inspired us all to greater effort.

Our senior team had a great game against Hunterstown and came away with a draw which helps us greatly to secure our place in the League. Our under 14s are continuing to impress as they prepare for taking part in the National Féile being held in Monaghan/Fermanagh later this year. Our girls under 14 and 16 were also successful of late and we congratulate them. Saturday mornings are going exceptionally well or the Nursery and the training of the underage groups. Our Cúl Camp will be held early Summer and children can be registered online or at the clubhouse.

The Lotto was not won last week and now stands at $3,000. The numbers drawn were 8, 11, 17 and 19. The five lucky dip winners were Carmel Moore, Patricia King, Breda Vaughey, Emma Foley and Keith Nolan. Envelopes are available at Foleys, Topaz, Gleesons, from any member or at the clubhouse.
