Boyne quintet set their sights on All-Irelands
A NUMBER of Boyne AC members have qualified for the upcoming All-Ireland Schools Championship after impressive displays in the provincial competition last Wednesday and Saturday at Morton Stadium.
Tara Meier took gold in the Intermediate hurdles in an exciting finish, Lily O’Connor took silver in the Junior hurdles, Kate Kelly made it a double with a gold in the Minor javelin and shot putt, and Euan Canniffe won silver in the Minor Boys javelin.
Saturday then saw the distance track races take centre stage and the ever-impressive Ruarcan O’Gibne took gold in the 1500m and silver in the 800m.
