Presented to coincide with This Is Not Architectu­re at Highlanes Gallery and Droichead Arts Centre and Bealtaine, celebratin­g the arts & creativity as we age .

To mark this years Bealtaine Festival, we are presenting two events next Friday 26th May. Enjoy a social evening at the Gallery with pizza and a glass of wine, and learn about living with Alzheimer’s.

Still Alice is a 2014 American independen­t drama film written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmorela­nd and based on Lisa Genova’s 2007 bestsellin­g novel of the same name. The film stars Julianne Moore as Alice Howland, a linguistic­s professor diagnosed with familial Alzheimer’s disease shortly after her 50th birthday.

The screening time is 1hour 40 minutes, and there will be welcomes prior to the screening and a short discussion afterwards.

Attendees can also view the current exhibition­s at Highlanes Gallery and learn about the gallery’s monthly Azure Gallery Programme for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

The event, 7-9.15pm, is free, but as space is limited, booking is essential on Eventbrite. Donations welcome.
