To mark this years Bealtaine Festival, we are presenting two events next Friday 26th May. Enjoy a social evening at the Gallery with pizza and a glass of wine, and learn about living with Alzheimer’s.
Still Alice is a 2014 American independent drama film written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland and based on Lisa Genova’s 2007 bestselling novel of the same name. The film stars Julianne Moore as Alice Howland, a linguistics professor diagnosed with familial Alzheimer’s disease shortly after her 50th birthday.
The screening time is 1hour 40 minutes, and there will be welcomes prior to the screening and a short discussion afterwards.
Attendees can also view the current exhibitions at Highlanes Gallery and learn about the gallery’s monthly Azure Gallery Programme for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The event, 7-9.15pm, is free, but as space is limited, booking is essential on Eventbrite. Donations welcome.
