Thomas Markey’s work on display

EXAMPLES of the incredible work of Thomas Markey are on display at the Highlanes Gallery at the moment.

They are truly remarkable and well worth a look.

He worked for the corporation in his day and his work features many Drogheda landmarks, including life in the docks and an image of The Tholsel on Christmas Eve 1952. It includes the sign for the Provincial Bank on the side of the building and Luke J Healy’s chemist shop beside it.
