Kelly’s super five for Glen Hearts under 17 in win over Bohemians

THE Drogheda and District Schoolboys League saw some great games with Glen Hearts and Bohemians meeting in the under 17 league.

Highlight of the game was a five goal tally from J Kelly in a 6-3 win. C Byrne also got in on the scoring act. M McDonnell (2) and D Pentony replied for Bohs.

Hibernian Stars drew 3-3 with Brugha United.

J McHugh (2) and M.Mooney were the marksmen for Stars while P Reilly, B Coyle and T Skelly replied.

Hibernians travelled out to Laytown Utd and won 6-3, J Loughran (2), B Shields and M Bell scoring for the winners, Tony Kirby netting for the home side.

The under 15 Division saw the newcomers, Brugha Utd beat Hibernian 3-2. N Harmon, Rice and Faulkner scored for them, with D Fuller and B Winters replying.

Glen Hearts saw off Marian Park B, 9-1. K McCluskey got a treble, with P Flynn, E Murphy, J Byrne and M Kealy all on the mark. A Brodigan got the losers’ only score.

P Cunningham bagged four as Glen Jets beat Wimble Rovers 6-3. T Corcoran and S Woods also netted for them. J Cunningham and A Kelly fired back for Wimble.

A Walsh, P McCann and J Leech scored for St Kevin’s in a 3-3 draw with Boyne Celtic. Their scorers were B Clarke, J McPhail and P Harte.
