Drugs arrest

One man was arrested close to the Augustinian Church recently after he was found in possession of what is believed to have been heroin.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, May 16th as gardaí were on beat duty in the area. They observed the suspect in the church grounds and when they searched him they found was was suspected to be heroin on his person.

The suspect initially resisted arrest but was eventually arrested and brought back to Drogheda Garda Station where he was released pending a file to the DPP.
