Cilles AC gear up for annual five-mile race

-

BETTYSTOWN club Cilles AC have confirmed that their B5 race will be back for its third year this summer.

Tuesday July 18th at 8pm is the date to have your runners laced up for what should be a great evening of running and this year they are offering a t-shirt to the first 300 people registered.

Every race finisher will receive a coveted medal and be able to bathe in the warmth of the Cilles AC hospitality at the post-race spread. They would like to say a big thank-you to Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club who are hosting the after-race refreshments.

The five-mile course, which has been measured and certified, is flat and fast, providing a good opportunity to set PB times, and with a prize fund in excess of €2,000 it’s sure to attract athletes across all categories.

However, it’s not just about the contenders for prizes and the race is being set up to cater for runners and walkers of all abilities.

NSP Expert Lab Solutions - a small Irish-owned company based just outside Navan - are the anchor sponsor for the B-5. They specialise in the sale, service and repair of laboratory equipment to a broad customer base. You can check out www.nsp.ie for full details of services, products and special offers.

There will be traffic restrictions on the route and around the village for the duration of the race, and a race map and copy of the traffic plan is on the club website, www.cillesac.ie.

Online registration is now open and this year there is a special group discount and a ‘bring a buddy’ rate. There will be registration on the day also and more information is available on the club website and its Facebook page.
