IBTS say thanks for support for Bettystown blood clinic

- IBTS

Dear Sir,

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) would like to thank all 72 Donors who attended the Blood Donation clinic in Scoil Oilibheir Naofa. Thank you to Mary Gallagher and friends for their help on the clinic and Ms. Maria White, Principal of Scoil Oilibheir Naofa.

A breakdown of the total figures show that 7 first time Donors and1 former Donors attended the clinic.

About 70,000 patients are transfused with blood each year in Irish Hospitals. To do this we must collect approximately 3,000 donations of blood each and every week from voluntary donors like you. So it is essential that we maintain and increase the level of support on our next visit to East Meath. A total of 2,466 units alone were required in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda during 2016

Finally on behalf of all the patients in hospital who benefit from your generosity and a heartfelt thank you to all who attended or helped with our Bettystown Clinic in any way.
