Series of thefts from garden sheds in town
GARDAI are advising people to invest in a few euro to buy a good lock for their garden shed.
It comes after a series of thefts from the rear of gardens over the past week.
‘ The incidents have happened all over the area and we would advise people to get a lock. It can put off these people who are opportunists,’ a spokesperson stated.
Last Wednesday morning between 2am and 6am, a garden shed was entered at Termon Abbey and two black and white Carrera bikes were stolen.
On Friday June 2, a garden shed at Crosslanes was also entered and a black Honda lawnmower taken from the location.
Also, between 7pm on Friday night and 10am on Sunday morning, thieves stole a yellow Karcher power hose from a shed in Hillview.
