YOU TOO! - St Peter’s Male Voice choir follow in footsteps of the greats

-

HOT on the heels of their recent sell-out concert with soprano Celine Byrne and now in their 61st year, St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir followed in the footsteps of musical giants such as U2, The Rolling Stones and Van Morrison when they began recording their long-awaited third CD at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin.

Studio One Windmill Lane is Ireland’s most prestigious recording studio and under the skilful hand of Musical Director Edward Holly, the choir delivered pitch perfect performances of songs from its extensive repertoire.

They were accompanied by the slick sound of the acclaimed musicians Des Moore (guitar), Paul Moore (bass), Guy Rickarby (drums) and Brian Connor (piano).

The legendary producer Brian Masterson, who founded Windmill Lane in 1978, is once again at the helm. Brian last worked with St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir on its 2009 “So this is Christmas” album.

PRO Anthony Moore said “It was a huge privilege for St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir to record at Windmill Lane with the grammy award winning producer Brian Masterson.

‘Recording in the same studio which hosted artists such as Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones was an electrifying experience. ‘ The choir members had a really great day and I’d like to thank Brian and his staff for making us so welcome. Having heard a sneak preview of some of the songs, I can only say that our fans are in for a real treat very soon. Watch this space!”
