There’s a big stink in Ardee!
IT REMAINS to be seen if ‘operational issues’ at the water treatment plant in Ardee have been ironed out, after the town fell foul of a bad odour in recent weeks.
Speaking at last week’s council meeting in Ardee, Cllr Tom Cunningham said that the plant was operated by Louth CC but it was Irish Water who confirmed the ‘operational issue’ with him. ‘We’ll see if it will be sorted out,’ he stated. Engineer Pat Finn said there has been an issue with the water treatment plant and ‘ the matter was being persued’.
Cllr Dolores Minogue also sought an update on the matter.
