Grimes to the ‘four’ in victory
MEATH ladies’ first foray in the Intermediate ranks proved a winning one as they registered a comfortable victory at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday.
Seneschalstown’s Stacey Grimes proved the star of the show for the Meath girls, scoring 4-1.
Grimes’ opening goal came from the penalty spot following a foul on Niamh O’Sullivan which resulted in a sin-binning for the offender.
St Patrick’s Emma White accounted for a second goal and Fiona O’Neill also found the net before Grimes struck for her second goal.
Meath eventually led 4-3 to 0-4 at the break and the one-way nature of the game continued in the second half as Grimes added to her goal tally.
