RATHKENNY 1-19 CASTLETOWN 2-10

JACK THOMPSON accounted for 1-5 as Rathkenny picked up only their second win in Division 4.

Castletown started the game with only 13 players and Rathkenny made the most of their numerical advantage as they opened up a 1-10 to 0-2 lead by half-time.

Thompson scored 1-1, while Sean Mongey contributed five points of the winners’ tally in that opening half. With a full quota of players Castletown were more competitive in the second half and reduced the deficit to three points with 10 minutes left.
