Tournament proceeds handed to local charity
SEAN Donnelly, the winner of Greenhills BC’s recent 10-week charity tournament, donated the proceeds from the competition to the Alzheimer Group on Thursday last.
He won the right to choose the charity of his choice to receive the proceeds from the tournament, and a cheque for €500 was handed over to Noel Heeney, chairman of the Alzheimer Group.
Greenhills chairman Val Maguire stated in his address that the club was delighted to be able to help the charity, while Mr Heeney thanked the club for their donation, expressed his appreciation to Sean Donnelly for choosing the charity and thanked Greenhills for their hospitality on the night.
